Merrett Survey Limited has completed hundreds of kilometres of water course surveys, over decades, for the UK Environment Agency (EA) – in all of the EA regions.
Always working to the latest EA National Specification, we provide the following services relating to floods:
These projects are completed by direct engagement from the Environment Agency or via their framework consulting engineers.
Flood study work has also been completed in Scotland and Northern Ireland (note – the Environment Agency’s remit is for England and Wales). Commercial development sites, local authorities and individual land owners also commission us to provide land survey inputs for flood risk analysis.
Data can be delivered as topographical survey plans, photographic records, lidar derived digital terrain terrain models (DTMs), cross sections, long sections and ASCII inputs to flood analysis/hydraulic modelling software – including ISIS, HEC-RAS and the EA’s own data format EACSD.
If you would like to learn more about our flood surveys or would like us to expand on the details provided on this page, please contact us today. We have the experience and resources to carry out a vast range of flood and water related surveys, working in sync with Environment Agency.
