Merrett Survey Limited has been widely involved with topographical airport survey work. Most recently at London Heathrow on Terminals 2 and 5 improvements. Surveying airports and airstrips of all sizes and in all conditions including work on runways (new, plus overlays), taxiways, terminal buildings (new and re-design), drainage, navigation aids and obstacle surveys. Surveys for development of ‘in airport’ commercial sites and access infrastructure. Outputs have included Navigation obstacle reports, ‘standard’ topographical plans, sections and elevations, plus scanning for BIM modelling / asset management.

Airborne Lidar is an ideal method of survey for obstacle surveys (ETOD) and ground based laser scanning provides high accuracy for pavements – buildings, plant rooms, including complex baggage handling facilities.

GNSS is applied to generate WGS84 survey data – anywhere in the World.
